Red Tettemer takes top advertising honor at ADDYs

Red Tettemer + Partners took top honors in the Philadelphia Advertising Club’s annual awards.

Some 550 people attended the ADDY Awards ceremony Thursday night at Tendenza in Northern Liberties.

Red Tettemer, based in Center City, won the best-of-show award for a print campaign called “Goodie Bits” for client Yakima, maker of roof racks and accessories for outdoor gear. The campaign also won the “best of print” category. The Yakima business was part of Red Tettemer’s November acquisition of Stick and Move, a Philadelphia agency founded by Steve O’Connell and Jared Scott.

Neiman Group, which is based in Harrisburg and recently expanded its Philadelphia office, won two best-of-show awards.

For radio, Neiman was cited for its “Extreme Weather Specials” on energy conservation, for client First Energy. For public service, it won for the “LiveFreeRideAlive” documentary for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Other best-of-show winners:

• For interactive, Hammonton, N.J.-based One Trick Pony was cited for its Turner Classic Movies website, TCM “Summer Under the Stars.”

• For television, BIGSMACKtv in Philadelphia won for its “The Glades” work for client A&E Television Networks.

The Philly Ad Club, a nonprofit, represents 2,100 professionals in the advertising, marketing and media fields. It is a chapter of the Washington, D.C.-based American Advertising Federation.
